Our prefabricated mast foundation piles are designed to have a durability of up to 120 years. They are a fast and safe foundation system designed for subsequent installation of various masts. Our mast foundation piles are based on the traditional precast concrete pile. However, stainless steel bolts are integrated into this pile to serve as the connection point between the pile and the mast above it. The piles are specifically adapted to utilize the integration of a mast. This is achieved by enlarging the upper part of the pile sections, thereby increasing the bearing capacity of the piles.
The range of applications for the mast foundation has also evolved over time. The market for renewable energy sources is growing, and here the mastfoundation pile has proven to be a stable alternative also for solar farms and applications with similar requirements. One example is coverage for large parking lots with solar panels, but solar farms in the fields benefits from the mast foundation as a base. Mast foundation piles have several advantages, including:

Parking facilities with solar panels
Mastfoundation piles are ideal for parking lots with solar panels as coverage. The MOJO project is a solar power plant in the Flevopark province in the Netherlands.
MOJO-Parken is an outdoor event area, usually used for large music festivals, where there is a large outdoor parking area. They wanted to combine renewable energy via solar panels, a parking lot and additional covered parking. This led to a solution where Centrum Pæle’s mastfoundations provided the optimal foundation. Approximately 2800 mast foundation piles were delivered and installed for the project.
Electrification of the railway network
In Denmark, Banedanmark launched a large-scale project in 2015 to electrify the Danish railway network. Only mast foundation piles from Centrum Pæle are used here. The project is expected to be completed during 2026. The piles are chosen as they provide a fast, adaptable and safe method of installing piles on railway lines. In addition, there are many future opportunities for mastfoundation piles. Some of these include: parking facilities at supermarkets, airports, amusement parks, noise wall foundations and much more.
Lighting columns for training facilities
Sønderjyske Fodbold in Haderslev will soon be able to enjoy a new training facility with three natural grass pitches and two artificial turf pitches. At Centrum Piles, we are happy to be part of the foundation. We have delivered 15 mast foundation piles of 6 meters in length for the project, which will be part of the foundation for the light masts that will illuminate the facility for future matches and activities. Mastfoundation piles are produced in lengths of 3-6 meters and can absorb high torque even in short lengths
